West Cocklake Farm is approximately 4 miles from Alston off the A689.

From Alston, follow the A689 towards Nenthead and Stanhope for 2.5 miles. Pass Nenthall Country Hotel on your right, cross the bridge and turn left.

From Nenthead direction, turn right just before the bridge at Nenthall. If you pass the hotel you have gone too far!

Go up the hill and when the road bears right, take the single track road straight ahead. Continue along this road for approximately 1.5 miles, passing a barn on your left, woodland on your right and the entrance to West Cocklake is the next turning on the left. The Field Barn is halfway down the track on your right.
